– This week’s episode of WWE NXT was perhaps the most newsworthy of the year less than two weeks before WrestleMania weekend. We had two semifinal round matches in the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic, a violent collision between NXT Champion Andrade Cien Almas and his challenger Aleister Black, the debut of EC3 and several major announcements that will change the landscape of the game. – There’s a lot of rumor and speculation surrounding Rey Mysterio and whether or not he will appear/compete at WrestleMania 34. Sports Illustrated’s Justin Barrasso reported that Vince McMahon was considering using him as Braun Strowman’s parter for WrestleMania, while Dave Meltzer reported that nobody from WWE has approached him about a match at this year’s show. It’s worth noting that Mysterio still hasn’t been cleared by doctors and the idea that Vince hasn’t cemented plans for a title match less than two weeks before WrestleMania is borderline absurd.
