Alexandre Lacazette: “There is more of an atmosphere in Ligue 1 stadiums than in England.”

Speaking to Lyon paper Le Progrès, Arsenal forward Alexandre Lacazette discussed the differences between fans in the Premier League and in Ligue 1.

He admitted that he “missed” French football because of it: “The atmosphere in the French leagues… in England, they are more spectators than supporters.”

The French forward was speaking at an Academy of Lyon programme designed to ensure that the next generation of French football fans are passionate, but sensible.
