OGC Nice expected to make Patrick Vieira appointment official in mid-week

L’Équipe report that OGC Nice are expected to make the appointment of 41-year-old Frenchman Patrick Vieira as manager official in mid-week.

Outgoing boss Lucien Favre is expected to be confirmed as the new Dortmund manager either today or tomorrow.

RMC this afternoon claim that there is an agreement in place between Vieira & OGC Nice over a two year contract, but that the City Football Group are seeking to convince the former French international to remain with New York City FC, telling Vieira that he would probably by Pep Guardiola’s eventual successor at Manchester City.

MLS side are pessimistic about their chances of keeping him, and City Football Group will let Vieira leave for free if he insists that his final decision is to part.
