Springboks: Cobus Reinach and Deon Fourie raring to go as opportunity knocks against Wallabies
South Africa scrum-half Cobus Reinach insists he will not be “coming in cold” when he comes off the bench against the Wallabies on Saturday.

Reinach has been named among the replacements for the Springboks as they look to bounce back from last weekend’s disappointing defeat in Adelaide.
It will be the livewire number nine’s return from a hamstring injury that’s kept him out for a prolonged period of time and he’s subsequently raring to go.
Excited to return to action
“If you look at the way we train I don’t think anyone is coming in cold,” said Reinach as South Africa prepare for the Rugby Championship showdown.
“We go full on at training, as we train the way we want to play. I have also been part of the squad from the beginning of the season, so even though I haven’t played in months I’m excited to get onto the park and play.
“It is really nice to be back, I’m so excited to get onto the field I can’t sleep at night.”
Joining Reinach on the bench against Australia will be Deon Fourie, who is the back-up hooker, despite playing most of his recent rugby on the flank.
It’s something of a gamble from Jacques Nienaber as Fourie has not played in the front-row for some time, but the Stormer is confident he’ll impress.
“In my 16 years as a professional rugby player I have played more at hooker than flanker, so I am more experienced at hooker,” the veteran explained.
“Throwing in the lineouts is only a small part of the game. There are many other areas to the game too.
“That said, I’ve been training hard, and it has been going well, so I’m looking forward to this chance.”
Fourie’s ability to play both in the front and back-row is something that he’s proud of and feels it can benefit his case for further Bok caps in the future.
Fourie the utility forward
“Some people may think it is negative to be a utility player, but I think it is great for the team if you have a player who can cover two or three positions,” he said ahead of a pivotal game for both sides.
“There is excitement but pressure as well to keep my game up.
“When I came back to South Africa last year I didn’t think I’d be sitting here with a Springbok on my chest, so hopefully I can go out there, do my best.”
