Lyon President responds to Alexandre Lacazette speculation

Lyon President Jean Michel Aulas has responded to speculation linking striker Alexandre Lacazette with a move away from the club this month, notably to Newcastle.

In a press conference this morning, Aulas had the following to say:

“Concerning Alexandre, I am convinced that he will come back to his highest level after his injury, with the team of his heart that is Lyon. I even think that he will be the first person to score in the new stadium. He will be here still for some time because Lyon can only be at the highest level with players of his quality.”
