Russian President Vladimir Putin is said to be one of the most powerful leaders in the world. Now, a German newspaper has come up with an over three-decade old identity card, claiming that he served as a secret police in East Germany.

The Bild daily published picture of a membership card issued to “Maj Vladimir Putin” which appears signed by the authority.
