A recent survey conducted by Woo dating app has revealed that gender divide among the male and female candidates on these platforms is massive, Quartz India reported. A survey of 20,000 urban Indians revealed that there are three times as many men as women on online dating apps in India.
However as compared to western countries, this percentage is very low. In an article published in Business Insider India in 2016 it was disclosed that almost 40% of women engaged with apps like Christian Mingle, Coffee Meets Bagel as well as Bumble. Quartz reported that while 74% of Indian men were looking for female partners only 26% which is even less than half for looking for a male counterpart.
