Mama Milia's 'Best Guacamole Ever' – A Patch Recipe Share
ORANGE COUNTY, CA — Need a new twist on guacamole? Then check out this “old family recipe.”
Orange County native and author Annette Sandoval, the daughter of Mexican-American immigrant parents and the youngest of five children who grew up in the Santa Ana “barrio,” shared with Patch the ingredients for her Mama Milia’s dish, which she lovingly dubs the “Best Guacamole Ever.”
Named after a Mouseketeer, as “her mother wanted one of her children to have an ‘American’ name,” Sandoval noted that guac-recipe preparers can “feel free to go all Latina on it by adding extra jalapeño and garlic!”
And since July 31 is “National Avocado Day,” the recipe is quite timely. Enjoy, from Patch!
