Mae Young Classic to Feature Madison Rayne, Xia Brookside, & More

The Mae Young Classic tournament has truly begun to take shape over the past few weeks with most of the participants for this year’s show now confirmed. WWE announced a batch of new competitors for the tournament earlier today, and this list contains some remarkably recognizable names. Be sure to look forward to seeing the likes of Kaitlyn, Io Shirai, Deonna Purrazzo, Toni Storm, and other join the following names when the second Mae Young Classic officially begins next month:

Priscilla Kelly: This 21-year-old wrestler has been competing mainly on the independent circuit for about three years now. She has competed in promotions such as SHINE, Atlanta Wrestling Entertainment, and Full Impact Pro in the past, but she will have the chance to step into a WWE ring for the first time in her career when she competes in the Mae Young Classic tournament in Orlando’s Full Sail University in a few weeks.

Xia Brookside: Another young wrestler in this tournament is Xia Brookside. At only 19-years-old, Brookside has managed to win championships and entertain fans all across the United Kingdom. Xia Brookside is also the daughter of famous British wrestler and current WWE Performance Center coach Robbie Brookside. Brookside is currently the youngest competitor announced for this year’s Mae Young Classic tournament, so it will definitely be interesting to see what she is capable of once the time comes for her to fight later this summer.

Ashley Rayne: Finally, easily the most famous name announced for the Mae Young Classic tournament is Ashley Rayne. Rayne is a 32-year-old competitor who has competed in several different promotions under the name Madison Rayne. She is most known for her stints in Impact Wrestling, where she has won the Impact Knockouts Championship on five different occasions, and she has also been Knockouts Tag Team Champion twice as well. Rayne took part in a WWE tryout last year but returned to Impact later on that year. She was defeated by Su Yung in a match for the Knockouts Championship at Slammiversary last week, and she too will be competing in a WWE ring for the first time in her career once the tournament starts.
