WWE 205 Live Results (11/07): The U.K. Championship Division
The show starts with a video package recapping the match between Enzo Amore and Pete Dunne from last night on Raw. Afterwards, he invited some of the WWE UK Division on his new show, “The Zo Show.”
Vic Joseph and Nigel McGuinness welcomes us to the show as they preview Enzo’s new show and Kalisto vs. Jack Gallagher for later on tonight.
Enzo Amore makes his way to the ring with a mic in hand to premiere “The Zo Show.” He says that he is a ratings draw and a combination of all the top late night show hosts. Crowd starts up a “boring” chant as he calls the UK a “dump.” Enzo says that the weather and the people are bland. Enzo says that he has never lost to a man that he doesn’t know the name of and he rants on about a bunch of nothing as the crowd chants “boring” again. He finally introduces the division as they literally come out in a line. We see Tyler Bate, Mark Andrews, Tucker, and others make their way down to the ring.
Enzo wants to find out who will join the “zo train” and he starts with Devlin. Enzo asks him about Finn Balor training him and Devlin says that did happen, but that’s where the alliance ends. Tucker says that Balor is way better than Devlin. Crowd is completely dead right now and Enzo asks what Tyler Bate’s name is, he says it once, but the second time the crowd kind of does a Tyler Bate chant. Enzo asks Bate about joining the “zo train” and Bate slowly gets to the point of not being able to handle hearing Zo’s screechy annoying voice telling him what to do every day. Enzo says that Bate could be his butler and tells him to go get his shine box. Bate gives Enzo a Bop ‘n Bang (feint and sucker punch), sending him to the back as Kalisto heads towards the ring.
We are informed that Bate will face Amore tonight.
We get a video package about James Drake and Nigel McGuinness informs us that Drake will be in action tonight.
Gentlemen Jack Gallagher makes his way down to the ring with mic on hand. He says that it is good to be home because he is reminded of all the lazy people who don’t work. He says that he is reminded of how the people tried to turn him into a dancing clown, much like what Cedric Alexander is turning into. Jack says that he is bigger than Manchester and all of Britain and that nobody really cared.
Kalisto makes his way down to the ring and we start the match.
Kalisto vs. Jack Gallagher: Kalisto gets the best of Jack early on with his speed, but Jack heads out to the floor for a breather. Kalisto hits Gallagher with a somersault senton to the floor. Kalisto tries to run and jump off the barricade, but Jack knocks him off. Action is back in the ring as Jack punches away at his grounded opponent. Kalisto kicks Jack and then jumps up, but Jack hits a shoulder tackle and pins him, but only a two count.
Kalisto hits a hurricanrana on Gallagher that drops him flat on his face, Kalisto then goes for a pin, but only a two count. Kalisto hits multiple strikes and a spinning kick which he turns into a moonsault, but Jack catches him right into a Fujiwara armbar. Kalisto is able to roll out of it and hits the salida del sol off the ropes and pins Gallagher for the win. Winner: Kalisto
We head backstage where Dasha Fuentes interviews Enzo and Dasha asked him about his altercation with Tyler Bate. Enzo says that things got personal with Bate. Enzo then gloats about having more money (and having bigger tabs) than Bate ever has and he plans to close Bate’s tab tonight.
Cedric Alexander and Mark Andrews vs. James Drake and Joseph Conners: Before the match starts, a quick video vignette shows Mark Andrews talk about his opportunity at the WWE UK Championship. He says that he is promoted as a guy who likes to have fun and wants to put Wales on the map. Another video vignette is shown and this time it is Joseph Conners who talks about having a hard hitting style and he shows off how he is missing a piece of his ear from a bar fight. Andrews and Conners start off first, Andrews is using his speed to keep Conners down, until he gets a boot in the face. Andrews hits a sunset flip then turns it into a dropkick. He goes for a pin, but only a two count. Cedric gets tagged in as well as Drake. Cedric uses his speed to run circles around Drake. Double team move by Andrews and Cedric. Cedric goes for a pin, but only a two count. Conners is in with a nice backbreaker and he goes for a pin, but only a two count.
Andrews gets beat up for awhile, but finally brings Cedric in with the tag. Cedric hits a big elbow drops on Conners. Cedric goes on top of the apron and hits a high springboard clothesline, but Drake runs in to break up the pin. Andrews gets the tag as Cedric drops both guys. Cedric rolls Conners over as Andrews goes for a shooting star press. Conners wasn’t in the best position for it, but still got hit. Andrews goes for a pin and they get the win. Winners: Cedric Alexander and Mark Andrews
We get a video vignette on the former WWE UK Champion, Tyler Bate, who talks about standing out thanks to his maturity at a young age and talks about Bob ‘n Bang.
Enzo Amore vs. Tyler Bate: Bate is lightning quick to start off the match, working all around Enzo and he goes for a quick pin, but Enzo kicks out and jumps to the floor for a moment. Bate holds the ropes and invites him back in, Enzo says nah. Enzo shows some frustration as he gets popped with a European elbow and an overhead release suplex sends Enzo back out to the floor again. Crowd is finally waking up with some Tyler chants. Bate chases after Enzo on the floor, but gets caught and gets thrown into the barricade a couple of times.
Enzo is finally in control of things as they work back into the ring. Enzo gets a chin-lock on Bate as Bate tries to get back up to his feet. Bate hits a belly to back suplex on Enzo which ends Enzo’s momentum. Bate swings away at Enzo’s midsection. Enzo is thrown to the corner as Bate charges in and drives his two feet on Enzo’s chest and straight to the mat. Enzo sits Bate up on the top turnbuckle and sets up a superplex, but Bate hits a number of elbows on Enzo which sends Enzo flying back to the mat. Bate looks to fly, but Enzo blasts him off down to the floor. Bate is holding his knee from the fall as Enzo throws him back in the mat as he taunts the crowd. Enzo hits a huge lariat that flips Bate upside down. More taunting by Enzo and Enzo hits a JawdonZo which puts Bate down for good. Winner: Enzo Amore
After the match, Enzo punches away at Bate, who’s completely out of it. Kalisto heads out to the ring and chases off Enzo to end the show.
