Former WWE Diva In Negotiations With TNA, Update On Tara's TNA Contract, More

— Maria Kanellis is in talks with TNA Wrestling to join the organization. She was released from her WWE contract on Feb. 26. Both sides just began discussing a deal and thus it’s too early to detail specifics.

The former WWE Diva recently inked a deal with Mark Cuban’s HDNet/HDNet Fights as a backstage announcer and made her debut last month at the King of the Cage event in Reno, Nevada. Her position with HDNet would not prevent her from joining TNA. (source: Wrestling Observer Newsletter)

— As reported earlier, Lisa Marie Varon (a/k/a Tara) announced her impending departure from TNA Wrestling today in a blog post on her MySpace account. Her contract is set to expire and both sides have been unable to reach an agreement on a contract renewal. In an update on the situation, she specifically noted on her Twitter account that her contract will expire on May 21st.

— Speaking of Tara, she suffered back and neck injuries at this past weekend’s slate of live events. She was filling in for Daffney and Angelina Love, both of whom missed the show due to injury.
