Update On Rey Mysterio (Spoiler), WrestleMania Special Rating, Courtney Taylor

— Despite claiming he has proof that he was prescribed the medication he recently failed a drug test for, Rey Mysterio will not have his thirty-day suspension overturned by WWE. His suspension will begin tomorrow as scheduled and he could lose the Intercontinental Championship at tonight’s SmackDown taping in Cleveland, though not necessarily to Dolph Ziggler.

There was concern last night that things were so bad between both sides that Mysterio could threaten to quit WWE, so company officials also considered the possibility of shooting an injury angle instead and keeping the title on him.

— The WrestleMania special that aired on NBC this past Saturday night drew a 1.4 broadcast rating to finish fourth out of the six network shows in that time period. Also, last week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown on myNetworkTV drew a 1.9. It too finished in fourth place for the night.
