Reds duo to face judiciary

September 19, 2019 Off By EveAim

The Reds will be sweating on the fate of Scott Higginbotham and Lukhan Tui, with the pair facing possible suspension.

Both forwards will face the SANZAAR judiciary panel to find out their fate, after being carded against the Rebels.

Higginbotham was red-carded in the 10th minute for a shoulder charge on Rebels lock Matt Philip, leaving Queensland a man down .

All send offs are automatically referred to the SANZAAR judiciary review, with the Super Rugby body confirming that on Saturday morning.

Tui was yellow-carded for a lifting tackle on Rebels scrumhalf Will Genia, leaving Queensland two men down in the first half.

Despite only being sin-binned at the time, SANZAAR’s judiciary deemed the tackle met the red card threshold, referring it to the panel.

Both matters will be heard by the panel on Sunday February 25 at 5pm AEDT.

The Reds take on the Brumbies on Friday March 2 at 7pm local, 8pm AEDT. Buy tickets here.
