New NWA Women’s World Champion Crowned At ‘Hard Times’

The National Wrestling Alliance has crowned a new women’s champion!

Thunder Rosa defeated Allyin Kay on Friday night at NWA Hard Times in Atlanta, ending Kay’s championship reign at 273 days, while also making history becoming the first Mexican-born wrestler to win the title.

Kay had won the title back in April 2019 at the Crocket Cup, defeating Santana Garrett after the previous title holder, Jazz, vacated the belt after 948 days citing “personal reasons”.

Thunder Rosa is actually undefeated in an NWA ring so far in her career. Since arriving at the October NWA Powerrr tapings, she has won three tag team matches and four singles matches, including a win over Tasha Steelz at NWA Into The Fire, en route to facing Kay at Friday night’s pay-per-view.

The show also saw the crowning of new NWA World Tag Team Champions, as former Impact Wrestling stars Eli Drake and “The Cowboy” James Storm won a triple threat match over The Rock ‘n’ Roll Express and The Wildcards.
