AEW World Champion Chris Jericho & Director Kevin Smith were both on the Rich Eisen Show recently. During the chat, Smith revealed that Jericho will be playing a controversial role in the upcoming “Jay & Silent Bob” reboot.

Smith: “At one point, they encounter the Ku Klux Klan and Chris plays the lead Klansman.”

Jericho: “Grand Wizard of the selected-half of the Ku Klux Klan.”

Smith explained that Jericho felt the role paid homage to the late Henry Gibson, who played the head of the Illinois Nazis in John Landis’s “The Blues Brothers.”

“He compared it to, and I was so flattered, and that’s why I was like, ‘Oh man, he is my boy’, he was like, ‘Look, I’m Henry Gibson in ‘The Blues Brothers’ just make sure you give me an outline.’ And I was like, ‘He gets it, he absolutely gets it.’ “
