Bobby Lashley On How He Would Approach a Fight With WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar
Bobby Lashley is one of the most physically impressive Superstars in WWE today. He is also one of the most talented Superstars as well. It’s that talent that sets him apart from other big men that came before him.
But in terms of natural ability, Lashley has always drawn comparisons to current Universal champion Brock Lesnar. The two men seem evenly matched and many fans are wondering if the pair will ever square off one-on-one.
Lashley recently appeared on the PERFORM Podcast, where he gave his thoughts on The Beast Incarnate and how he would approach a fight with the champ.
“I would go straight up, toe-to-toe with him. And it’s me, it’s like my boxing coach would always say this: there are certain times when you can go around and figure out a fight, work to your strategies. And there are certain times that you just have to bite down on that mouthpiece and step in and give them what they want. That’s the kind of fight you do it with because one, you’re fighting for yourself, your legacy, but two, you’re fighting for the crowd, because this is a big hype fight.”
It is curious why the company has yet to book Lashley against Lesnar. This does appear to be the match that everyone wants. Perhaps the timing has not been right. Or maybe WWE does have that match planned at some point in the future.

Lashley has made no secret about the fact that he wants to face Brock, who of course is a former UFC champion. Lashley, who is also a trained MMA fighter, doesn’t care if the bout happens in WWE or the UFC.
“It’s in between Vince McMahon and Dana White. It’s those big money fights, that’s what fighting’s all about. That’s why Brock went back to the UFC. They want to see him do big things.”
Bobby Lashley is booked to compete at Survivor Series on Sunday, November 18. He will represent Monday Night Raw against SmackDown Live in the Men’s 5-on-5 Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match. It’s unknown where he will go from there or if WWE has any plans for him to face Lesnar any time soon.
