Did Randy Orton Make a Full-Blown Heel Turn on Smackdown Live? Watch His Brutal Attack on Jeff Hardy

Randy Orton made a shocking return this past Sunday at Extreme Rules, adding insult to Jeff Hardy’s injury by kicking the “Charismatic Enigma” in the groin, as hard as he possibly could.

While some believed we were seeing a more villainous side of “The Viper”, others dismissed his questionable actions as nothing more than a strong message sent to the new WWE United States Champion, Shinsuke Nakamura. However, “The Viper” made his return to Smackdown Live on Tuesday night and made it very clear to everyone that his surprise attack on Hardy was not a simple message, but rather a cold, calculated assault.

In his second attack, Orton stomped the former champion’s head into the steel steps repeatedly, sent him crashing over the announcer’s table, and even connected with his signature Hangman’s DDT off the very same table. Before leaving, he literally tried to rip Hardy’s ear off his face in a spot that had many members of the WWE Universe cringing. It looks like we’ll have to continue waiting to find out exactly why Randall is taking his inner demons out of a fellow in-ring veteran though, as he told Jeff to wait-and-see.
