WWE NXT video highlights: Tag title matches, in-ring debuts, more

Last night’s NXT was the final episode of the show before the brand’s revamp kicks off next week.

An NXT Tag Team title match headlined the episode, with MSK retaining their titles against Oney Lorcan & Danny Burch. Pete Dunne and Ridge Holland then turned against Lorcan and Burch and laid them out after the match. In a post-show interview, Dunne and Holland explained that they attacked Lorcan and Burch because they were dead weight.

The NXT Women’s Tag Team titles were also on the line last night. In their first title defense, Io Shirai & Zoey Stark defeated Kacy Catanzaro & Kayden Carter. Mandy Rose, Gigi Dolin, and Jacy Jayne then attacked Catanzaro and Carter on the stage.

Tian Sha’s Mei Ying and Diamond Mine’s Julius & Brutus Creed made their NXT in-ring debuts on the show. Plus, Kay Lee Ray defeated Ember Moon, Santos Escobar defeated Carmelo Hayes, and we saw footage from InDex’s bachelor and bachelorette parties ahead of their wedding next week.

Two matches were also announced for next Tuesday’s NXT. A fatal four-way match between Dunne, Tommaso Ciampa, Kyle O’Reilly, and LA Knight will decide the first challenger for Samoa Joe’s NXT Championship. The NXT Women’s Championship will be on the line next Tuesday as Raquel Gonzalez defends against Franky Monet.
