AEW Confirms Upcoming Jon Moxley vs Shawn Spears Match is Still Happening

All Elite Wrestling has confirmed that the previously announced match between Jon Moxley and Shawn Spears, set for the October 9 live television taping in Boston, will still take place as scheduled.

There was some concern over the bout after Moxley had to be removed from last weekend’s All Out pay-per-view due to an MRSA staph infection in his elbow, but it looks like he is expected to recover in time to be a part of the debut TV episodes on TNT.

This is also good news for New Japan Pro-Wrestling, as Moxley is scheduled to defend the IWGP U.S. Heavyweight Championship against Juice Robinson in a No Disqualification match on October 15 at the annual King of Pro-Wrestling event in Tokyo.
