Batista At NAACP Dinner w/ WWE Star, Update on Impact Announce Team, Kurt Angle In ‘Corny’ Pizza Commercial (Video)

As noted, follwing the departure of Jeremy Borash, the Impact Wrestling announce team will be Josh Mathews and Sonjay Dutt.

It has been reported elsewhere that Borash did voice work for this week’s episode which was subsequently scrapped, however PWInsider.com reports that is innacurate. Impact usually has the announce team provide voice work the day before an episode airs on POP TV, so when Borash informed Impact he was leaving for WWE, Mathews and Dutt provided the in studio commentary.

Kurt Angle Appears In ‘Corny’ Pizza Commercial

In honor of National Pizza Day, WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle shared the following commercial in which he appeared years ago:

Batista Attends NAACP Dinner with WWE Star

As noted, WWE star Titus O’Neil was honored this week at the NAACP Freedom Fund Dinner and was awarded the Reverend Hosea Willams award. Former WWE star and O’Neil friend Dave Bautista was also in attendance for the dinner and commented with the following Tweet.

WWE’s community website has also picked up on O’Neil being honored, and reported the following:

Titus O’Neil was presented with the Hosea Williams Award by the NAACP, Hillsborough County Branch, in Tampa, Fla., on Thursday, Feb. 8.

Rev. Hosea Williams was well-known in the civil rights movement and was a trusted member of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s inner circle. He is noted for founding the Hosea Feed the Hungry and Homeless, one of the largest social services organizations on this continent. The Hosea Williams Award honors the person whose spirit equals the contributions he made to mankind.

Two-time WWE Champion Batista and O’Neil’s sons were on hand to honor the charitable WWE Superstar during Black History Month.
