Bengaluru: Woman Abducted By Ola Cab Driver Saved Herself By Banging On Car Window To Get Rescued

A 30-year-old woman abducted by an Ola cab driver in Bengaluru saved herself by banging on the windows and catching the attention of other motorists. Other drivers chased and blocked the taxi near a toll plaza further down Ballari Road, pulled the cabbie, Suresh Kumar, 28, out of the vehicle and called the PCRP. Chikkajala police arrested him.

The woman was on her way to the airport around midnight when the cab driver sped past the airport exit. “The woman was brave and showed presence of mind. Else, the driver would have got away with the kidnapping,” a senior police official said. The Indiranagar resident and employee of a private company had booked a cab to go to airport around 11.30pm. She was travelling to Mumbai on work and her flight was scheduled to take off at 5.10am.
