Chelsea lead the race for Tiemoué Bakayoko

Premier League leaders Chelsea currently lead the race to sign AS Monaco central midfielder Tiemoué Bakayoko, according to L’Équipe du Soir and RTL journalist Bertrand Latour.

Numerous Premier League sides are after the player, including Manchester United, but Bakayoko is proving particularly receptive to Chelsea’s approach, and joining Antonio Conte in summer is something that he is decidedly interested in.

Chelsea will have to pay €60m to sign Bakayoko in the summer, AS Monaco have named their price.

Many twists and turns to come, but the Blues are ahead in the early stages of the race to land Tiemoué Bakayoko, who just yesterday received his first ever call up to the French national squad following the withdrawal of Paul Pogba through injury.
