Details On How WWE Plans To Tax Marijuana Usage With Their Wellness Policy
Source: Wrestling Observer Newsletter
It appears that WWE’s announcement that they will include testing for marijuana in their Wellness Policy is not near as bad as first thought. Superstars are only tested for the drug four times a year so the worst a marijuana smoker could be fined would be $4,000 a year if they failed all four tests (WWE announced the fine would be $1,000 per failed test).
A failed marijuana test also does not count towards the three Wellness Policy strikes meaning that a superstar will not be suspended or terminated for failing one. Apparently the addition of testing for marijuana is to tax the usage amongst superstars backstage. Nevertheless if the company increases the amount of tests, things could get worse.
