Former ECW Champion Announces His Retirement, Heyman's Mother Passes Away

— Former ECW World Heavyweight Champion Mikey Whipwreck has announced his retirement from professional wrestling. He said Saturday was his last show. However, he will still be involved in the wrestling business as he currently trains wrestlers for the New York Wrestling Connection. Two of his school’s most famous alumni are former WWE Tag Team Champions Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder.

— Paul Heyman’s mother, Sulamita Heyman, passed away yesterday morning at the age of 81. She had been in poor health in recent months. Sulamita was a survivor of the Nazi Holocaust.

— Kevin Von Erich is now a grandfather as his daughter Jill gave birth to a baby girl on Thursday.
