Fouad Chafik signs extension with Dijon
Fouad Chafik has signed a new two-year-deal to remain at Dijon, after impressing the club in his first season at the club.
The 30-year-old joined DFCO at the start of the season from Stade Laval, and his experience has been key as Dijon look to stave off relegation heading into the final day of the Ligue 1 season.
His performances earned him a spot in the Morocco squad for the 2017 African Cup of Nations, where he reached the quarterfinals. The right back said “It is a very good thing for me. I am happy to extend with DFCO. This is proof that I feel good at the club, and that I am trusted.”
Olivier Delcourt went on to say “Whether on or off the field, we are very satisfied with the season of Fouad. His mentality and behavior are perfect with the values of DFCO.”
