Despite false reports circulating earlier this week, Jim Cornette has NOT publicly apologized for comments made on the most recent episode of NWA Powerrr; comments that forced the legendary manager-turned-announcer to hand in his resignation.

Earlier reports that Cornette apologized via a post Instagram are false, as the account in question is an unverified game that he himself took to Twitter to denounce.

In fact, it was Cornette’s refusal to issue a public apology for his actions that may have forced NWA’s hand in demanding his resignation, as it was the “real issue” according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
