Joey Janela Airs Complaints About AEW, Claims He’s Not Going to Dynamite Tonight

All Elite Wrestling star Joey Janela posted the following message on Twitter this Tuesday night, which he later deleted:

“Didn’t get on my flight for AEW Dynamite tonight, I’m not going…. Nothing was addressed about the way I was eliminated from the match last week, I’m losing all the steam I created on my own through 14 years of hard work, right these wrongs and answer the phone..”

First thing’s first — it’s professional wrestling, so never rule out the possibility of this being an angle. The “Bad Boy” was eliminated from last week’s Dynamite Dozen battle royale during a commercial break, which is likely what he was referring to in the above tweet.

Janela was among the first names announced for All Elite Wrestling and was a part of the announcement party in Jacksonville at the start of the year. He has thus far been featured on all of the promotion’s pay-per-views, including a 20-minute singles match with Jon Moxley at AEW Fyter Fest.

Since the start of AEW Dynamite he has wrestled on television twice, losing to Kenny Omega on week four, and the aforementioned battle royale. He also lost to Shawn Spears at the recent AEW Full Gear pay-per-view in a relatively last-minute bout that was not heavily promoted prior to the show.
