Jonathan de Guzman closing in on Marseille move

According to our colleagues at RMC, Dutch midfielder Jonathan de Guzman is closing in on a move to Marseille.

A fee is believed to have been agreed between Napoli and Marseille, after Marcelo Bielsa called Rafael Benitez on Saturday to ask for the Real Madrid manager’s opinion on the player, just hours before announcing his resignation.

Benitez’s report appears to have been positive of this Vincent Labrune-led transfer target, who could managerless OM in the coming hours.
