Lorient to sign Armand Laurienté for €4m

Our colleague Mohamed Toubache-TER reports that newly-promoted to Ligue 1 side FC Lorient’s transfer business continues – they have struck a deal with Brittany rivals Rennes to sign right-winger and 21-year-old Armand Laurienté for an initial €2.5m.

The deal includes a potential €1.5m in bonuses plus a 20% sell-on clause.

There was a long debate internally at Les Merlus over going for this player, with manager Christophe Pelissier instead preferring to move for free agent Matthieu Dossevi, but youth has won out.
