Marina Shafir Receiving High Praise For Her NXT Debut, Could She Be the Best Four Horsewoman?

As noted, former UFC star and Four Horsewomen member Marina Shafir made her WWE NXT in-ring debut last week, winning a tag team match alongside Nikki Cross.

We then noted via Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer Live that Shafir and fellow Four Horsewoman Jessamyn Duke are doing great in WWE considering what little time they have had training at the Performance Center. Both talents signed back in May of this year.

On today’s episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, host Dave Meltzer elaborated on Shafir’s NXT in-ring debut and progress, and had the following to say:

“People are talking really highly of her. I’ve heard from several different people and they’re all pretty much raving about her. The live report I heard, she wasn’t in much…she teamed with Nikki Cross, and she just did like a hot tag sequence…she just did some judo throws mostly, she comes from Judo. But, I’ve heard people say that she could be the best worker of the four.”

Meltzer went on to admit he was surprised to hear that someone like Shafir could have more potential than someone like Ronda Rousey, but he added that Shafir would be in great shape if she could get to the point that Shayna Baszler is currently at in NXT, as Baszler has shown great progress since signing.

As for Jessamyn Duke, Meltzer noted he heard great things about her as well, despite Duke not debuting last week as scheduled.
