Maryse Backstage at SD, Strowman’s Opponents, Fox Set for Axxess
It has just been reported that Maryse is backstage right now at the site of tonight’s SmackDown show. According to PWInsider, the former Divas Champion is in town with her husband, The Miz, for tonight’s show. As of now, there is no word on whether or not she will be making an appearance during the broadcast. If Maryse were to appear on TV, it would likely be an angle building to the match between The Miz and Shane McMahon at WrestleMania 35 this Sunday night, or to talk about their reality show. The Miz & Mrs. show was officially renewed for a second season by the USA Network today. Maryse is pregnant with her second child right now, so don’t expect her to get too physical if she does show up on television tonight.
During last night’s episode of Raw, Braun Strowman was able to defeat “Colin Jost” and “Michael Che,” who were portrayed by two local wrestlers. According to Twitter’s Local Competitor account, wrestler Brandon Scott played the role of Jost while Elijah King was Che, both of whom have competed for Maryland Championship Wrestling before. Strowman was easily able to beat both men despite the match being a 2-on-1 handicap bout. Strowman and Saturday Night Live “Weekend Update” hosts Colin Jost and Michael Che have been feuding on TV and online for weeks now. Strowman, Che, and Jost will all be competing in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal this Sunday night at WrestleMania 35.

As WWE gets closer and closer to hosting WrestleMania 35 in the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey this weekend, reports of various absent wrestlers being spotted in the area have surfaced. However, WWE has seemingly just confirmed on WWE.com that a member of the women’s division is taking part in the festivities during WrestleMania 35 weekend. Raw Superstar Alicia Fox is now set for a signing session at the Axxess event later this week. This appearance will mark Fox’s first time appearing for a WWE event since a live event in January where she reportedly showed up intoxicated. At the time, it was rumored that WWE Hall of Famer Arn Anderson allowed her to compete on the show anyway, leading to his termination from the company.
