Official | Rémy Cabella joins Lille on a free transfer
As announced by Lille’s official channels, veteran French midfielder Remy Cabella (32) joins LOSC Lille in a free transfer, signing a one-year deal with a further one-year extension option. The former French international underwent his medical yesterday in Paris before the move was made official today.
Cabella was on loan at Montpellier last season where he played the second half of the season following the conflict in Ukraine which meant he had to depart Russian top tier side Krasnodar. The 32-year old was released by Montpellier earlier this month.

The former Montpellier, Marseille, and Saint-Étienne man said the following in the statement:
“I am very happy to be here, to join LOSC, a great French club which is in the top 5 of the championship for me. There had been discussions with Lille for a while, I had the president on the phone several times, he presented me the project. I was touched and seduced. I can’t wait to start, to discover this group with players I like. I’m here to win.
Cabella thus joins Jonas Martin (32), another veteran who has signed on a free, and Akim Zedadka (27) as Lille’s most recent arrivals, alongside manager Paulo Fonseca, who has recently replaced Jocelyn Gourvennec.
