OM Head of Football Longoria unconvincing on question of Florian Thauvin extension

Speaking to La Provence, Spanish operator and Head of Football at Ligue 1 club Marseille, Pablo Longoria, was unable to provide the club’s fans with much confidence that OM was going to be able to extend star winger Florian Thauvin’s contract, with the French international’s current deal, which expires in June.

“It is a good question. Extending contracts in this time of uncertainty is very difficult for all the clubs. All the players are waiting to see how the market will shake out. Nobody knows what next season will be like, if we are going to have fans or not… We have to adapt to the situation.”
