Ousmane Dembélé will not renew with Barcelona
Santi Aouna of Foot Mercato reports this evening that France winger Ousmane Dembélé will not renew his contract with Barcelona, which expires at the end of the season, after negotiations broke down. News of the former Rennes man not extending was firest broken by Catalan journalist Gerard Romero.
The wide man’s agent Moussa Sissoko reportedly asked for a €40m gross salary for his client, along with a €40m signing-on fee. The Frenchman’s representative is said to have considered that Dembélé is the club’s future, and his team would not have accepted less than what was offered to Erling Haaland.
Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea, Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Newcastle United are among the clubs to have now reached out to Sissoko regarding Dembélé.
