It has emerged, according to AFP sources, that the Paris police chief has proposed the closure of the Paris Fan Zone for certain EURO 2016 matches.

Owing to terrorist threats and the exhaustion of police resources, the Paris police chief has proposed the closure of the fan zone for certain games to Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve.

In a letter dated May 26th, revealed by Le Point, Michel Cadot asks Cazeneuve to as the mayor of Paris to close the Fan Zone, making his case by invoking the exhaustion of police resources and various threats, including those of terrorists, weighing on the event.
