People Heard Girls Screaming While Being Raped In Muzaffarpur, They Didn’t Report Out Of Fear
The Central Bureau Of Investigation (CBI) report on the Muzaffarpur shelter home sexual assault has revealed that the neighbours in the area used to hear women scream but they were too scared to do anything about it, reported the Hindustan Times.
The reason behind these neighbours not reporting the screams were due to the terror and panic spread by the main accused in the case, Brajesh Thakur who was also running the NGO.
Reportedly, the order said, “It appears that Brajesh Thakur, in-charge of the NGO Sewa Sankalp Evam Vikas Samiti, is a very influential person and people in the neighbourhood are scared of him and not able to make a complaint against him. In fact, it has come out that people heard screaming by the girls in the shelter home but did not bring it to the notice of anybody because of the apparent terror of Brajesh Thakur.”
