Lionel Messi, 5 – Quiet on the whole but still produced a smattering of brilliance, a reverse ball for Mbappé, which should have won the game, the best.

Walter Benítez, 7 – Made a string of smart saves, a double stop from an Mbappé shot before kicking away from Gueye and halting Di Maria one-on-one in the second half were the highlights.
