Sports in general give us a lot of emotions – sometimes good, sometimes bad. All eyes are on the sport event or on the sports stars. We are cheering up for our teams and when they lose, there is a kind of a sad feeling in our hearts.

 

 

 

However, sports are much more than we see. I truly believe that sports could be used to reflect in a positive way in our society. I am not going to surprise you by telling you that sport is a social phenomen and thanks to media its impact on supporters’ views could be great.

This is why it is so important to us to use the power of sports for creating something new, something good.

We are all aware of the fact that our planet earth is a victim of humans’ destructions. Green activists remind us often that we have to take care of our home, of our planet.

Volleyball joined the positive wind with CEV’s launched campaign “Volleyball Way. Green Way”. Maybe you’ve noticed that there is this green ball in the matches of CEV DenizBank Volleyball Champions League and also that there are green T-shirts for the liberos. 

Thanks to its popularity and good marketing strategy Volleyball could turn itself into one of the sources of protection of our planet. 

Because only with good examples we could save the place where we live.

Just remember what the unforgettable Louis Armstrong sings: “What a wonderful world !”.
