Waldemar Kita set to sack René Girard
FC Nantes President Waldemar Kita has decided that he wants to rid of current manager René Girard and his two assistants, his son Nicolas Girard and Gérard Bernardet, according to L’Équipe.
Kita had a long conversation last night with René Girard following Les Canaris’ 6-0 home loss to Lyon, where he made it clear that the current situation could not continue.
The sacking of these three individuals would cost Kita €2.5m. He is currently hesitating on dismissing them immediately because of the proximity of their next match against Guingamp on Saturday.
It is however becoming increasingly apparent that the sacking of René Girard is now a case of not if but when.
