WWE Star Reportedly Taken to the Hospital Following Stiff Shot on Raw (Update From Correspondent)

As seen on Raw last night, WWE star Hideo Itami picked up his first singles win on the Red Brand after he defeated The Brian Kendrick via pin fall.

The end of the match saw Itami hit Kendrick with a very stiff looking Go To Sleep, and Kendrick appeared to be legitimately injured following the finishing move.

PWInsider.com is reporting Brian Kendrick was taken to the hospital following the match to be evaluated for a possible injury, however his diagnosis has yet to be revealed. We will keep you updated as more information becomes available.

Update: ProWrestling.com’s Mike Killam was in attendance for last night’s show, and noted that a WWE doctor came down to check on Kendrick immediately after the match was over. He appeared to be shaken up from the hit, and was helped to the back by the doctor and a referee. When they replayed the GTS from Itami for the live crowd, there was an audible groan from several thousand people as his knee connected.
