Yoan Cardinale rebuffs OGC Nice contract extension offer

Under-fire goalkeeper Yoan Cardinale has for the moment rebuffed a contract extension offer from his current club OGC Nice, according to RMC.

He is not impressed by the wages on offer in the current deal on the table, which, if signed, would see the player commit to an extra three years with Les Aiglons.

Cardinale wants playing time guarantees, with his spot as first choice recently conceded to Walter Benitez after a string of questionable performances.

If Cardinale decides not sign a new contract, Nice will move for other targets on the market, including Dijon shot-stopper Baptiste Reynet.
